The Wall That Heals – The Traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Museum
March 20 - March 24, 2014
The Vietnam Veterans of American, Northern New Mexico Chapter 996 has been asked to host The Wall that Heals, a half scale replica of the Vietnam Wall in Washington, DC. Arriving in Santa Fe, New Mexico on March 18, 2014 the exhibit will be on display from March 20-24 at the City's Fort Marcy Ball Park just North on the Old Taos Highway right on Morales Road.

The Bataan Memorial Death March is a challenging march through the high desert terrain of White Sands Missile Range, conducted in honor of the heroic service members who defended the Philippine Islands during World War II, sacrificing their freedom, health and, in many cases, their very lives.

2014 Las Cruces Womens’ Veterans Conference
April 12, 2014 | 8am-5pm
The conference is from 8am-5pm. Free coffee, tea and pastries will be provided when the doors open for registration at 7am. A free hot-plated meal will also be served at lunch.
A free $40 Walmart Gift Card will also be presented at the end of the conference to the first fifty women who pre-register. Proof of active-duty or veterans status will be required to receive the gift card. Free door prized will also be raffled off throughout the day.
Representatives for the El Paso VA Medical Center and the New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services will present information about the many VA and state veterans’ benefits—including many specifically available for women veterans.
Leadership from the United Women Veterans of the Southwest, Women Veterans of New Mexico and other local service agencies will also give presentations outlining the many ways these organizations can help women veterans.
